We hope that everyone is safe and well during this time. The Tutoring Center is here to support you academically and we'll be assisting you virtually for the remainder of the Spring semester. Tutoring is available for you through Blackboard Collaborate and ThinkingStorm.

Blackboard Collaborate will allow you and an RCC tutor to engage with each other and feel like you're in the same room—with your favorite devices. Tutoring will continue to function through its unique platform of appointments and drop-ins. If you're interested in Drop-In Tutoring, click on one of the links below during the scheduled hours!

Star-NY Tutoring

STAR-NY is a consortium of SUNY colleges and universities that have joined together to share resources and expertise to better meet student needs for online tutoring.

How it Works

  • Visit and sign in to the WorldWideWhiteboard®, which is a collaborative tool for online tutoring.
  • Students enter a virtual room to work with a tutor one-on-one.
  • Papers or problems can be loaded into the whiteboard, allowing both the tutor and tutee to write on them.
  • A chat box is used for questions and responses.
