Residential Real Estate Closing Basics

Abstract: The presentation on a residential real estate closing will include a discussion on the following components of a closing: an offer to purchase, a home inspection, the contract, title examination, the necessary affidavits and tax forms, settlement, deed transfer, and post closing recordings.
About the Speaker: Patricia E. Szobonya is Assistant Professor and Chair of the Paralegal Department at Rockland Community College. She graduated from St. Francis College, Cum Laude, and an Honors Scholar, with a B. S. in Management and a minor in French. She graduated New York Law School in 1998 and passed the New York and New Jersey Bar in 1999. She is also admitted to practice in the United Stated District Court of New Jersey and the United States Southern District of New York Court. She maintains her practice as a general solo practitioner.
