RCC-TV Video Festival May 13

RAMAPO – Rockland Community College presents its annual answer to the Academy Awards on Saturday, May 13. All are welcome to the 10th annual RCC-TV Video Festival to enjoy creative short videos and see the winners revealed.

The theme for this year’s festival is “Celebrating 10 Years of Creativity and Excellence.” Videos were submitted by RCC students and alumni, along with high school students from: Clarkstown South, Nanuet, North Rockland, Nyack, Suffern, Washingtonville, Fox Lane and Monroe-Woodbury.

RCC’s Contemporary Music Ensemble will perform under the direction of faculty member Peter Fiore. The evening also includes a free dessert reception following the ceremony.

Winning videos will earn a trophy and a prize. The creator of the video judged best among all RCC student entries will receive a Canon EOS Rebel T5 DSLR camera.

RCC offers an associate’s degree in Communication Media Arts and many students also learn real-world videography and production skills interning for RCC’s Multi-Media Production Center and RCC-TV. The Multi-Media Production Center has won a number of honors from the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations, the Videographer Awards and other organizations.
