Communication Media Arts Info Sessions

Tuesday, August 14, 10:30 am
Wednesday, August 29, 5:30 pm
Technology Center, Room 8175

The Communication Media Arts program offers hands-on production experience in audio, video and digital multimedia, starting in the first semester, in addition to academic classes. Participants at the CMA info sessions will meet media arts faculty and staff and learn about degree programs, course offerings and the skill sets developed. They will also hear about RCC-TV, the annual student film festival, and the noteworthy work RCC alumni are doing in the industry.

Graduates of the program who are pursuing a baccalaureate degree at a four-year institution arrive with production skills often superior to continuing juniors at those colleges. Students who choose to work in the industry immediately after earning their AA degree will be similarly equipped to obtain entry-level positions such as production editor, digital content producer, digital video producer, digital content coordinator and audio engineer/board operator. Returning students in the CMA program can augment their skills in the multimedia environment. Tours of the CMA lab and studio facilities (audio and video) are available at the end of the sessions. For more information, contact the CMA department at
