The College Commitment

What Steps Are Being Taken

To advance the College’s commitment to affirmative action, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion:

  • continually examines the basic and preferred qualifications for job vacancies on campus to eliminate any barriers to employment, or advancement;
  • ensures that position announcements and advertisements are placed in diverse publications, including those that cater to people of color, women veterans and individuals with disabilities; communicates job vacancies to external organizations that represent the interests and perspectives of communities of color, women, individuals with disabilities and veterans; and
  • collaborates with the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning and Human Resources to maximize the development of all members of the work force through training and development.
