Sabbatical Leave

Approved by the Board of Trustees of Rockland Community College on May 18, 1995. Amended on April 21, 2005.

Rockland Community College holds teaching as its primary activity and, therefore, sees investment in the professional development of its faculty as an important component of academic excellence. A system of sabbatical leave is a process whereby faculty can obtain the new skills, competencies, and experiences that allow them to continue to contribute to the ongoing development of the College.

Please note: April 21, 2005 is the date on which the current contract with the RCC Federation of Teachers was approved by the Board of Trustees.
