Freshman to Pharmacy Degree (PharmD) in Six Years

Qualified students apply to our accelerated PharmD program and after graduating from a rigorous course of study at RCC, they can earn a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree in just four more years from the University at Buffalo, one of the nation’s top-ranked pharmacy schools.

Agreement and Value

Under the articulation agreement, at least two qualified RCC graduates each year will be admitted into the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University at Buffalo. Like RCC, Buffalo is part of the State University of New York (SUNY), and offers a very cost effective educational value.

“This partnership is an incredible opportunity for students interested in pursuing a career as a pharmacist and saves the student and family a great deal of money. ”

To qualify for this 2+4 program, students  complete a series of prerequisite courses and maintain a 3.5 GPA. Students will be asked to express their intent to enroll in the program during their first year at RCC, in order to plan a course sequence that meets all requirements for admission to UB.

Students in the program will be supported throughout their journey at RCC by a designated academic advisor who works specifically with pre-PharmD students.
