Why Study Performing Arts?

Theater, music, dance, musical theater—and New York on your doorstep. Students who enroll in the program can choose a discipline in music, dance, theater or musical theater. The program provides students with the opportunity to work alongside performing arts professionals including designers, composers, actors, directors and choreographers. Our long running in-house Rockland Shakespeare Company produces an annual free Shakespeare performance under the summer sky. The Performing Arts program will prepare students for transfer to a baccalaureate program to continue their education in theater, music, dance, musical theater, film or education programs. Students can also seek employment with film and television studios, theater companies, dance studios and other related areas.

Degree offered:

Associate in Arts (AA): Performing Arts
