Why Study Hospitality and Tourism?

Do you enjoy working with people, solving problems and providing quality customer service? The Hospitality and Tourism program offers preparation in the fields of culinary arts, restaurant management, and hotel management. We offer hands-on Culinary Arts courses on the main campus in our state-of-the-art kitchen lab, which features restaurant-quality equipment. Upon completing the program, students will be prepared for positions in restaurants, fast food establishments, catering facilities, institutional food service companies, hotels, cruise lines, gaming establishments and other related areas. However, if a student decides to continue their education at the baccalaureate level, additional general education courses will need to be completed at the transferring institution.

Meet our Faculty

Our distinguished faculty of over 100 full-time and 400 part-time members includes professionals in the hospitality and tourism industry, numerous Fulbright Scholars, SUNY Chancellor’s Award winners, and published authors. Average class size of 22 allows faculty members to work one-on-one with students.
