SPE 211  Introduction to Speech and Language Development

 

This course explores the normal acquisition and development of speech and language of children. Specific influences on communication will include the role of the environment, cognitive and emotional development, neurological state, health, play and personal differences. Language and Speech acquisition will be examined through observation, audio/video and tapes, readings, lectures and discussion.
