SPE 201 Small Group Communication

 

An analysis of and participation in the various forms of Small Group Communication: the symposium, panel discussion, case conference, and colloquium. Interviewing will also be incorporated into the course content. The classroom, the media and the community will be used as outlets for projects. Students will be able to differentiate among the various forms of small group communication and integrate that information into the projects. They will illustrate their knowledge of the purposes of the interview competency in handling questioning techniques and facility via use of the interview format. Ultimately the students will recognize and analyze the interpersonal dynamics found in small group communication.
