SPE 111 Listening

Listening is a basic and necessary skill within the communication process. Nevertheless, effective listening is a learned behavior. Skillful listening is needed in professional, personal, cross-cultural, and educational environments. It also should be noted that there are specific listening behaviors that are often unique to the aforementioned environments. This relationship will also be explored and examined in this course. Ultimately, the student will study, analyze, evaluate, and apply the strategies for effective listening, resulting in an increased comprehension of the techniques needed for effective listening.
