SPE 101 H Fundamentals of Speech Honors

 

Speech 101 H has the fundamental aims of teaching students to speak clearly, effectively, substantively, and with purpose for a given audience. Each student will compose and deliver a variety of speeches, and each will learn the underlying skills of audience analysis, topic selection, research techniques, organizational approaches and techniques for successful delivery. Interviewing and small group communication are additional components of this course. Students will be required to translate their skills into a final public performance.
