PSY 207  Special Topics: The Violent Mind

Violence and aggression are a significant part of the world in which we all live. This course analyzes violence in crime, in sports, child abuse, spouse beating and terrorism. As society becomes more brutal, people clamor for protection and revenge. The origins of human violence and aggression must be understood before solutions can be considered. This course examines theories that attempt to explain violent behavior and, by doing so, it touches on ways to accommodate and change human behavior.
