PSY 113 Understanding Children Through Observation

The observational module is designed primarily as an aid for the student in developing an understanding of children from birth to adolescence by observing children. Learning the acceptable techniques of observation is the secondary objective. The in class activity permits the systematic observation of spontaneous human behavior as simulated on television or videocassettes, and provides an effective way to demonstrate and compare time sampling, event sampling, and trait rating techniques.
