POL 103 The Constitution


This course is an introduction to constitutional rights and public policy. It considers in depth such contemporary constitutional issues as: the conflict between freedom of the press and national security; criminal justice vs. a defendant’s right to a fair trial; congressional limits on presidential control of foreign policy; the insanity defense and the death penalty; individuals privacy vs. state intervention in life and death decisions.
