PDA 110 History of Pluralism and Diversity in Business
This course explores the diversified workplace and how it has evolved from the early 19th century through the present. Students will examine the political, economic social and cultural issues in American business and understand how as a manager or employee you embrace diversity in socioeconomic status: African American perspectives; religious influences in business; gender related issues; special populations; labor influences on economic status; successful business entrepreneurs and business people; and affirmative action. This course will also provide students a perspective on American business and its relationship to the rest of the world.
