PED 144 Scuba Diving

 

The NAUI Scuba Diver Program is an entry-level certification course in scuba diving, including academic study in the classroom as well as pool training. Emphasis is placed on water skills, diving environment, physics, physiology, and diving safety. Open water training is available for those students who wish to seek certification. (If a student would like to get certified, he/she may make arrangements with the instructor outside of class to receive certification on his/her own time.)

 

  • Prerequisite: Student has to be an Intermediate Swimmer and is subject to health requirements, and needs basic snorkeling equipment
  • Hours: 2
  • Credits: 1
