PHL 208 Theories of Human Nature

What does it mean to be human? What does it mean to be a person? Is man free? What is the nature of consciousness? How have technology and mass culture transformed the human condition? Exploring the uniquely modern character of a person’s sense of his or her world, students examine alternative approaches to traditional views of human existence.
