PLG 104 Business Organizations

 

This course covers the legal and tax characteristics of the three main types of business organizations: the sole proprietorship, the partnership and the corporation. Students will learn the procedural steps required under New York law to form these business organizations. An emphasis is given to business corporation laws and principles involving formation, ownership, management, financing, blue sky laws, corporate meetings, mergers and consolidation, amendments to the Articles of Incorporation and dissolution.
