MAT 215 Business Calculus


An applications oriented, terminal, technologically based course for students in business, economics and the social sciences. Not recommended for students planning a major in mathematics, engineering, or the natural sciences. Topics include: review of functions; limits and continuity, the derivative; techniques of differentiation; applications of differentiation; exponential and logarithmic functions; antidifferentiation, the definite integral; applications of integration, calculus of several variables. Spreadsheet software and/or handheld computing technology are integral to delivery of the course.
