LSK 202 Life/Career/Educational Planning
This seminar is a shortened version of the LSK 203 course. It covers the same topics as LSK 203, but in less depth. In addition, some writing assignments are not required for this class. The goal of this seminar is to provide participants with the skills necessary for effective career and educational planning. Life Cycles, ego, moral, and ethical development theory are integrated into the course to promote better self-understanding and more effective decision making. Course topics include learning styles, self-assessment, occupational research, values clarification, vocational interest testing and decision making. At the end of this seminar, each participant is required to develop an individualized personal development plan, synthesizing their learning from the seminar, and outlining their career and life goals.
