ITA 205 Italian Conversation & Literature I
A course designed to enable the student to achieve maturity in the handling of the Italian language in conversation, comprehension, reading and writing. Samples taken from the 19th and 20th century Italian literature are used both as vehicles to achieve these goals and as an introduction to the many and varied Italian writers. This combination of the practical and cultural approach is especially designed to maintain and reinforce the student’s interest in the language, in Italy and its people, and to stimulate him/her to further independent studies and research.
