ENG 260 Commonwealth Literature
An examination of the literature and culture of British Commonwealth countries, such as Australia/New Zealand, Canada, and India. The indigenous literature of these countries will lead to an investigation of the reaction to and against British Colonialism. Of further importance will be the study of each country’s search for and exploration of its own specific cultural referents in the long shadow of British (Western) culture.
