ENG 229 Studies in the Novel
A study of the most widely read form of literature in our time - from the picaresque adventures and gothic romances of the 18th Century to 21st Century realistic, experimental and mainstream narrative novels. Students read and discuss the portrayal of life presented by great writers and analyze the style of expression.
