ECO 220 Environmental Economics

An introduction to the tools of economic analysis used in the evaluation of environmental issues. Conservation is studied as both a domestic and a global problem in the optimal use of exhaustible, scarce resources. Pollution is treated as a market failure or a departure from perfect competition. Current laws, issues, and proposed solutions to the problems are surveyed.
