CHM 202 Organic Chemistry II

 

Organic Chemistry II (CHM 202) primary emphasis is the study of aromatic compounds, dienes, alcohols (phenols and ethers), aldehydes and ketones, carboxylic acids and their derivatives, amines and spectroscopy (NMR, IR, MS, and UV-VIS). Laboratory techniques on various spectroscopies (NMR, IR, MS, and UV-VIS) are introduced and the preparation and reactions of the major functional groups are performed.  This course is for students who intend to major in chemistry, biology and Allied health.
