BUS 270 Internship Seminar
This course offers students the opportunity to maximize their internship experience. In order to make the transition from the classroom into the workplace, students must have a full appreciation of the various components that are necessary to be successful in today's marketplace. Through lectures, group discussions, guest speakers, mock interviews and other role-playing exercises, students will be introduced to the dynamic forces and practices that exist in the 21st century global economy. Topics to be covered include identifying these forces, as well as focusing on oral and written communication skills, interpersonal dynamics, diversity in the work environment, professional conduct and etiquette, resume and cover letter writing and interviewing skills.
