AUT 220 Automotive Heating and Air Conditioning
A study of heat flow and transfer, including change of state as applied to air conditioning systems and climate-controlled automotive environments. Students will test, service and repair heating and cooling systems following EPA regulations. Recovery and recharging R-134a systems air conditioning systems. Theory of heating/air conditioning operations and manufacturers' testing and diagnostic procedures are used to provide sufficient knowledge to adjust and repair components for proper performance and ensure conformity with EPA regulations and requirements for inspection.
