AUT 211 Automotive Computer Systems

Students learn to access, diagnose, repair, and replace automotive computer systems and their components. They learn current automotive emissions regulations and testing procedures. The use of engine and gas analyzers and other electronic test equipment are studied. Using different reference sources, students work on computerized emissions control systems, the ABS brake controller system, the body controller, and the suspension system. Upon successful completion of this class, students are prepared for the ASE certification examination in advanced engine performance.
