ART 117 A World of Art: Works in Progress
An art appreciation course for non-art majors, introducing the basic elements and principles of art and design, and the different art media that artists employ. Ten videos are combined with a coordinated text and course guide. Filmed by nationally known directors, each half–hour program features a contemporary American artist developing a project from its initial conception to its completed state. The artists themselves narrate their experience providing a unique introduction to the creative process.
