Honors Application Form

MTS Interview Requirements

We welcome all applicants to MTS; however, we cannot promise admissions to everyone who may wish to attend the Honors Program at Rockland Community College. Since we have limited space, we will invite those prospective students to an interview based on SAT scores of 1700 or higher and on high school grades that are 88 or higher.

If some students' SAT scores are well over 1650, with a GPA of less that 90 but no lower than 85, then applicants may also be considered. CONVERSELY, if some student’s grades are above 88, perhaps 90 or 92, and the SAT scores lower than 1650, those students may also be interviewed.

Once the Applications are processed (be sure to include the requested data about SAT scores and high school GPA), then Dr. Garner and/or others will be in touch with you by telephone or by letter, if you meet the MTS qualifications outlined above.

If you have not heard from the MTS office in two to four weeks by all means call (845) 574 - 4796 (Honors Office). At that time, an assessment of your status with MTS will be given on the telephone and arrangements made for an interview.
