Management Development Honors Program (MgD)

by Webmaster last modified July 24, 2007 06:07 PM

The Management Development (MgD) Honors program is designed for highly motivated students planning to transfer to four-year colleges to study business, accounting, or computers. The program offers a balance of business and liberal arts courses, ideal for students who have not yet decided on a field of study.

Students in the MgD program have transferred to many top business universities and many have earned full or partial scholarships. Academic progress is monitored closely and students receive personal advisement. Senior faculty, with strong academic and business backgrounds, teach in the program.

Requirements

  • A minimum of seven honor courses (including Ethics in Business and an International Business Practice Firm)
  • English 910: Theories and Practice of Researching is highly recommended
  • Participation in an internship or community service activity

Eligible students who have demonstrated academic potential either based upon their SAT scores and excellent high school grades or based upon their academic achievement at SUNY Rockland are invited to join the program.

Students who complete the above requirements and maintain a 3.5 G.P.A. will have the honors noted both on their transcripts and diplomas.

To receive further information or arrange an interview, please contact Professor Stephen Hano, 574-4538 or Mrs. June Powell, 574-4332.
