Honors Program Benefits

* Preferred transfer to an elite institution. Due to its excellent academic reputation and long standing agreements with institutions across the country, Rockland Honors students regularly transfer to more than 70 colleges and universities, including Ivy League colleges such as Harvard, Yale and Columbia, and Tier One colleges such as Duke, Wesleyan and Stanford.
* Success at a four-year college. Nearly 100 percent of Rockland Community College Honors Program graduates have maintained at least a 3.0 average at four-year colleges. Many graduates have reported that earning high grades is a direct result of their intensive work in the RCC honors Program.
* Close relationship with mentor. Students work closely with an experienced mentor who guides them through their term.
* Personalized curriculum
* A chance to try out different fields of interest before transferring
* Savings of $10,000-$30,000 or more
* A nurturing learning environment with small classes and close mentoring not available at most four-year colleges and universities
