The SUNY Rockland Community College (RCC) 2007 - 2008 Women’s
Tennis Team improved again under the guidance of fourth-year Head Coach
Kevin Rapelye. The Region XV Tennis Tournament was held October
26 - 27 at the United States Military Academy. In the singles
competition, Jacqui Lamer and Haena Yoon made the semi-finals before
losing, and Juri Iwata lost in the First Flight Singles
Championship. In the doubles competition, all three Rockland
pairs made it to the semi-final round before being eliminated.
Lamer/Iwata played first doubles, Dasmon Lee/Victoria Samakai played
second doubles, and Yoon/Lexi Nathan completed third doubles.
Iwata was named to the All Region Second Team as well as to the 2007
Region XV Sportsmanship Team.
