The SUNY Rockland Community College (RCC) 2006 - 2007 Men’s
Basketball
Team finished the season having advanced
to the semi finals of the Mid Hudson Conference Championship
Tournament. The Hawks defeated Ulster
Community College 96 - 87 in the opening round,
before falling to eventual National Champion Sullivan Community
College, 63 - 48, in a
hard fought semi final contest. The RCC team was led by a pair of
former
local high school standouts; John Mills (Spring Valley) and
Lawrence Smith (Nyack) paced the Hawks by netting 19.6 PPG
and 18.4 PPG respectively. Both were selected to the All Mid
Hudson
Conference Team.
