Early Admissions

SPECIAL ADMISSIONS PROCEDURES FOR STUDENTS PLANNING TO ENROLL IN THE EARLY ADMIT PROGRAM

Rockland Community College participates in the Early Admission Program approved by the State Education Department of New York and the State University of New York.


To be eligible you must:

  • Initiate the process in your high school
  • Successfully have completed 11th grade with a minimum average of 80/2.66 or the grade set by your high school
  • Have permission from a parent/guardian and a high school guidance counselor or designated school official
  • Take the English and Math Assessments and place into English 101 and Math 101
  • Complete the applicant section of the Early Admission Application
  • Complete the Rockland Community College enrollment application
  • Include an official copy of your high school transcript with the application
  • Submit the Early Admission Application and the Rockland Community College Enrollment Application to your high school guidance counselor along with the $30 non-refundable application fee
  • Meet with an Admissions Counselor for an interview and attend a workshop at Rockland Community College. We cannot process your application until you have completed this process
  • Students admitted into the Early Admission Program should realize that courses taken become part of their permanent record and are subject to all policies and regulations that govern Rockland Community College. The final decision for entrance to the Early Admissions Program is made by the Director of Admissions
