Your RCC Email Account Disk Quota
Disk Quota:
The quota system is a way to divide the physical disk space allocation of the email server to all users. By default, each user has 100MB disk space for storing his/her email contents on the RCC email server.
What happens when my mailbox reaches the limit of disk quota?
Before your mailbox reaches the limit of your disk quota, you will receive warning messages. Please take the warning messages seriously. Once your mailbox reaches the maximum size of your disk quota, you will no longer receive incoming email messages until you clean up your mailbox and your disk quota is within the limit again. Going over the disk quota will adversely affect the entire email system. And failure to clean up your email will lead to deletion of your email account.
How do I check my current disk quota usage?
All users can check their current disk quota usage at anytime by login to their email accounts.
From WebMail: The quota usage bar is displayed at the very top of the left menu.

From Mozilla Thunderbird: Right click "Inbox" in your RCC email account and then click "Properties" from the pop up menu
Click "Quota" and you will see the quota usage:

Some tips to keep disk quota usage under control:
- Check your email box regularly and remove old/unwanted email messages.
- Empty "Trash" folder regularly.
- Clean up "Sent" folder regularly.
- Clean up "Junk" folder regularly.
- Setup email filters to discard unwanted emails.
- If you need to keep copies of incoming email attachments, please download them to your local hard drive and remove the email messages from your mailbox.

- Setup vacation message if you are out of your office and will not check your mailbox for a while.

From "Server Settings,” select "Remove it immediately" on "When I delete a message"

*** After you clean up your mailbox and your disk quota is below the limit, you may want to set your server settings back to the default settings: "move to trash folder" "When I delete a message"
