Access RCC email from home via WebMail and Netscape
You can access your RCC Email from home or away from your office by using WebMail, or by using Netscape Mail.

Setting Up Mail in Netscape (version 7.2) on Your Home Computer to View RCC email
Before you set up Netscape Mail to read RCC email, your need the following information:
- Your RCC User Name: provide by the RCC email system
- Your RCC Email Address: username@sunyrockland.edu
- RCC Incoming Mail Server: inbox.sunyrockland.edu
- Your ISP’s Outgoing Mail Server: provided by your Internet Service Provider (on campus only, you can use outbox.sunyrockland.edu)
- the Incoming Server Type: IMAP
Set Up Steps:
- Start Netscape.
- Click “Window” from Netscape’s menu bar and select “Mail & Newsgroups”
- Open the “Edit” menu and choose “Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings”. You will see the “Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings” dialog box.
- Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings: Click the “Add Account” button to start the Account Wizard.

- New Account Setup: Choose “Email Account” from the New Account Setup Window, then click Next.

- Identity: Enter the name and email address, for example, John Smith, jsmith@sunyrockland.edu, then click Next.

- Server Information: Select “IMAP” as your incoming server type, and key in inbox.sunyrockland.edu as your incoming server name. Please enter your ISP’s outgoing server name in “Outgoing Server” ** Please check with your Internet Service Provider, if your don’t know your outgoing server name.

- User Name: Enter your RCC email user name in “Incoming User Name”. Enter the user name provided by your ISP in “Outgoing User Name”, then click Next.

- Account Name: Enter whatever name you want to use to refer to this account, then click Next.

- Congratulations! Verify that the information you entered is correct. If necessary, verify the information you entered with your ISP or system administrator. When you are sure that it's correct, click Finish to set up your account.

- You see your new account listed in the left side of the Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings dialog box. Click OK to start using your new account.
