Files Sharing on Macintosh

  • Open the File Sharing control panel
  • Select Start from File Sharing to turn on File Sharing
  • Close File Sharing windows
  • Select the Folder you want to share
  • Open the File menu and select Get Info
  • Select Sharing from the submenu
  • Select "Share this item and its contents"
  • Close the Sharing windows

 

Open A File via AppleShare on Macintosh

  • Select Chooser from Apple menu
  • Open AppleShare
  • Select the computer contains the share file
  • Connect as Guest
  • Select the share folder and choose Ok
  • A short cut of the share folder is created on your desktop
  • Open the Web Sharing control panel
  • Select Start from Web Sharing windows to turn on Web Sharing
  • Select Web Folder to share
  • Choose Select from Web Sharing windows
  • Select the folder you want to share
  • Close the Web Sharing windows

 

Open A Web Share via Internet browser:

  • Open a web browser http to the IP address of computer contains the Web Share folder
    * you can find out your IP address from the TCP/IP control panel on your Macintosh computer
