Changing Datatel Password
From the Quick Access box enter XPWD. If you do not have access to XPWD contact the Help Desk at ext. 4734.

You will be prompted for your old password. Changing of a password is a bit magical in that you will never see your old nor new passwords, but when you go to re-log in it will have registered the change that you requested. Nothing indicating a password will be displayed on the screen. When entering your old password if you enter the password incorrectly you will be returned to the RCC Colleague Menu. After entering the correct password you will be prompted to enter your new password and then to re-enter it for verification. Note: You may not reuse your old password.

Upon completion you will be returned to a Datatel menu and your password will have been changed. You are the only person who knows this new password. It is always best to refrain from writing it down. If you must write the new password down in order to remember it, make sure it is in a secure location not taped to your monitor for public viewing. System integrity is dependent on the restriction of access to the system to trained and authorized users.
