Distance Learning

Distance Learning

Distance Learning provides the opportunity for students to take classes in a setting other than the traditional face-to-face classroom. Since these courses require no classroom attendance, Distance Learning courses are designed to meet the needs of students while they are at home, in their office, at night or even on the weekend.

Instructors use tools such as the Internet, email, chat rooms and video tapes to communicate and transfer knowledge. Some courses require exams or other on-campus meetings*. Although Distance Learning courses are very flexible, you need to be committed to keeping up with the material, participating in the activities and learning independently.
