Summer Bridge Program

The Summer Bridge Col­lege Success Seminar is a one day seminar sponsored by the Office of Disability Services. This seminar is designed to help incoming students with disabilities transition to Rockland Community College by providing students with effective strategies to de­velop college level study, time management, goal setting and self advocacy skills necessary to be suc­cessful in college. Students will be introduced to campus resources, policies and procedures including state of the art assistive and adaptive learning technology while get­ ting to know enthusiastic students, faculty and staff. The application process for accessing reasonable accommodations will be discussed. Parents will be provided with transition information as it relates to students with disabilities entering college.
