The Career Services Center’s mission is to provide the highest quality of personalized career services to its students. The Center is committed to offering a wide range of services that will assist students in understanding and implementing the critically important academic and career decision-making processes. Students are provided personal assistance in determining their career choices, acquiring valuable, credit-bearing internship placement and opportunities, and locating beneficial job opportunities both off and on-campus.
The primary mission of the Career Services Center is to help students achieve the following:
- Develop an understanding of their interests, abilities, and educational and career goals
- Explore future academic and career possibilities
- Locate experiential, internship opportunities that optimize their future academic choices and career opportunities
- Develop effective resume and interviewing skills
- Find educational programs or employment opportunities aligned with their career goals
- Establish contacts with professionals in their fields who will provide experiential and employment opportunities
- Develop interpersonal and professional skills
