The Advisement Process
READ ALL MATERIALS MAILED TO YOU AT HOME:
Prior to the start of Advisement for the upcoming semester, you will receive a letter regarding the Advisement/Registration process. Follow the instructions regarding advisement and registration.
FULL TIME LIBERAL ARTS STUDENTS:
Full time students in the following degree programs are assigned to the Academic Advisement Center (2nd Floor, Tech Building, Room 8227):
- A.A. Liberal Arts: Humanities and Social Sciences
- A.A. Liberal Arts: Mathematics and Science
- A.S. Liberal Arts: Mathematics and Science
FULL TIME STUDENTS IN OTHER PROGRAMS OF STUDY:
Full time students in other programs of study are assigned to a faculty advisor according to thier curriculum. When you recieve your registration letter, please be sure to:
- Note the name, location, and phone number of your assigned Faculty Advisor.
- Meet with your advisor prior to the start of Early Registration
- Plan your next semester studies
- Discuss any concerns you may have and plans for the future.
- Get a signed Advisement Form (you will not be allowed to register without this form)
REGISTER ONLINE DURING EARLY REGISTRATION:
- Register online during early registration to take advantage of open classes. One of the privileges of being a continuing student is the opportunity to register for classes before new students. For instructions on how to register online, please click HERE.
- Avoid long lines at late registration.
When should I meet with an Academic Advisor?
- Academic Advisement begins in November for the Spring semester and April for Fall semester.
- Full-time students will receive a letter in the mail prior to the start of Academic Advisement with instructions on where to seek academic advisement
- Seek academic advisement as early as possible in order to be cleared for early registration.
