COURSE DISTRIBUTION REQUIREMENTS FOR EARNING A NEW YORK STATE HIGH SCHOOL EQUIVALENCY DIPLOMA BASED ON COLLEGE CREDIT


PLEASE NOTE: 

  • SUNY ROCKLAND COMMUNITY COLLEGE DOES NOT GRANT THE NEW YORK STATE HIGH SCHOOL EQUIVALENCY DIPLOMA. WE OFFER THE COURSES NECESSARY TO APPLY FOR THE DIPLOMA THROUGH THE NEW YORK STATE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT.

  • Student's wishing to pursue a GED through SUNY Rockland must contact the Admissions Office at (845) 574-4224

COLLEGE DEGREE PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS [6 Credits]
  • This section is intended for courses that can be considered a “major” or are “career oriented” in nature and are not simply Liberal Arts courses, i.e.: Nursing, Auto Tech., Business, Hospitality etc.
