Academic Advising is an essential element of your educational experience at SUNY Rockland Community College. As a full-time degree-seeking student, you are assigned a faculty advisor according to your degree program. Part-time, degree-seeking students are encouraged to seek advisement and may with a counselor in the Student Development Center.

 

Student Responsibilities for Advisement

 

  • Be sure your Rockland Comunity College email account is activated to ensure access to WebAdvisor for online registration, grades, transcripts, class schedules, etc...  To activate your RCC email account, click HERE
  • Learn about the requirements of your particular academic program and select courses that meet those requirements in an appropriate time frame.
  • Read the class schedule to be sure you understand all college policies and deadlines.
  • Come to your faculty advisement appointment prepared. Bring a list of questions or concerns, have a tentative schedule in mind, and be prepared to discuss interests and goals with your advisor.
  • Let your advisor know if you are recieving Financial Aid
  • For all other questions & concerns, stop by the Academic Advisement Center, Tech. Center, Room 8227.
