Division of Student Development

At Rockland Community College, we believe that academic advising is an essential element of the students' educational experience, so every student will have the opportunity to succeed in his or her life and career plans. Your advisor can help you understand your degree sheet, choose courses, discuss your career and transfer plans, and refer you to a wide variety of college resources.

Full-time (continuing and readmitted) students are required to meet with their advisors and submit a signed advisement form or other documentation as specified in the Schedule of Classes in order to register. Full-time, degree-seeking students are assigned a faculty adviser according to degree program.

Part-time, degree-seeking students are encouraged to seek advisement from faculty within their degree program or may request an adviser at the Academic Advisement Center.
