Duties and Responsibilities of the Executive Board

 

President

  • Chairs every senate meeting, serves as parliamentary
  • Upholds and enforces the Constitution
  • Establishes an agenda for senate and E-board meetings

 

Vice President

  • Assumes duties of president in the president’s absence
  • Oversees all the committees
  • Consults matters regarding the Constitution
  • Chairs Blood Drive Committee
  • Chairs Constitution and Oversight Committee

 

Secretary

  • Keeps minutes for senate and E-Board meetings
  • Handles all correspondence
  • Prepares the agenda for the SGA
  • Monitors senators office hours

 

Treasurer

  • Chairs Budget and Finance Committee
  • Keeps all receipts and reimbursements of the Student Activities Budget and overseas budget of more than $500,000

 

Board of Trustees Student Representative

  • Represents the student body of Rockland Community College
  • Serves as a voting member at BOT meetings
  • Presents detailed reports to the SGA after each BOT meeting
  • Chair Campus Improvements

 

Student Activities Board Chairperson

  • Plans and organizes all student activities on and off campus in coordination with the Student Activities Board Advisor
  • Reports to the SGA after SAB meetings and oversees the student clubs/organizations.
