Adult Learning Center of Rockland

(Program at Meals on Wheels of Rockland)
121 West Nyack Road, Nanuet, NY 10954

The Adult Learning Center of Rockland is an organization of volunteers bringing computing skills to adults. Course levels vary from the complete novice to students interested in advancing their computing horizons. Courses are tailored to students preferring a slower-paced and less intense approach. To this end, each class has a maximum of eight students and an instructor who is assisted by two coaches. Courses are taught using a Smart board and each student has a desktop PC. Part of the proceeds after expenses will be used to support this and other Meals on Wheels programs.

A minimum of four students will be required for a course to be taught. If enrollment is too low for a particular class then the class will not be held or classes will be consolidated. For this reason it a good idea for students to make a second choice.

For dates and times of classes, call The Adult Learning Center at (845) 623-5467.

Our goal: Students should learn in an enjoyable setting.

We are delighted to be recognized by and affiliated with Rockland Community College and consider it a privilege to offer our courses in the RCC bulletin as part of the Center for Personal & Professional Development.

Volunteers are always needed: Opportunities are available for instructors, coaches and other volunteers to help us administer our organization. Please call us at (845) 623-5467, if this program looks enticing.
